Saddam Executed

December 30, 2006

The whole world knows it and if unless you are living under a rock, you should know it too that the former President of Iraq was executed today. Now before you judge me or something, I’d like to tell you that I am not at all a fan of Saddam Hussain. I believe he committed crimes but hanging him was the right way to go about it.

He was killed for crimes against humanity… what about freaks like Bush and Blair? They have killed THOUSANDS of people in Afghanistan and Iraq and all around the world. They have gotten their own soldiers killed and have taken hundreds of sons away from their mothers and families to take control of the oil that they have in Iraq.

Where the hell are the weapons of Mass Destructions that BUSH kept on barking about? Why is he enjoying the life he has when he has killed thousands of people around the globe? Why is Blair still the prime minister of U.K. when he has sent his troops along with the American soldiers to kill innocent people around the globe?

The big criminals have killed the smaller criminal… it’s time for the big criminals to die and go straight to hell. They should be trialled just the way Hussain was and they should also be executed in the similar method so there could be peace and justice would be served.

To the rest of the world…. PEACE! :)

Karachi Sky

December 25, 2006

It’s been so long since I last posted anything over here. Still not really used to posting up something new or interesting daily. I took a picture a few days ago. I was driving to work and I saw this beautiful cloud formation up above. It’s half an hour or an hour before the sunset but it’s looking absolutely fabulous. Interestingly, my brother also captured the clouds that day and the other day, I saw them in the newspaper so that makes it look even more beautiful and special. Btw, I have never attached a pic before here so I hope it turns out fine.

BinaryChaos topping the search engines!

December 9, 2006

It’s kinda funny to see search engines behave so abnormally. We recently launched a site that is about funny myspace images, videos, jokes and puzzles. We have had the URL www.binarychaos.org registered for about 5 years. Well not “we” but my partner Sabaina had this domain with her for a long time. For a couple of years, she maintained it has a her personal website and an online space to showcase some of her earlier work and y’know to just play around and stuff. Recently, the site had become almost inactive and she had no time to do something about it so we decided to make a site which would let myspace users to find and use funny images, clean jokes, videos and puzzles. The name was perfect ‘Binary Chaos’ so it all made sense. Anyway, a few days after we launched the site and we had only started marketing it…. we observed a few visitors from search engines like Yahoo and Google!

I mean I was thinking that I’ll have to optimize the site even more and do some offline optimization too (link building, marketing, adding unique content etc etc) but there we are, right on the top (well… almost) and we are enjoying some traffic from the site that we justtt launched a couple of weeks ago.

What I expect is that the Ageing has played a major issue here. If you got a domain which is about 3-4 years old and has no PR then believe me, it’s a keeper and if you don’t want it. I would very much like to have it :)

By the way our site is ranking well on Yahoo and Google against different keywords. Some of them are funny myspace images, jokes for myspace, clean jokes and pictures, myspace puzzels, funny clean videos and a lot more.

Oh and one more thing… I just realized that WordPress is slow! It’s slower than blogspot! They should do something about it and make the dashboard load fast!

GoDaddy and the rain

December 4, 2006

We recently bought a delux plan of godaddy using an american credit card (our credit cards were not working). After registering and buying the delux hosting account (100gb space and 1000 gb transfer blah blah) we found out that the reason that our credit cards were not working was because godaddy doesn’t accept any transactions from a number of countries and Pakistan is one of them.

Ok so I do realize why they are doing it but the most stupid part was when I read that we might not be able to access godaddy accounts in the future because many of the Pakistani IP addresses are blocked on GodDaddy. This is extremely lame and frustrating! Anyway, we got in touch with their support team and they told us that we CAN access the servers as Pakistan is not in the list of the countries with which GoDaddy can not do business.

(remove the hxxp and put in http if you want to visit their site. I don’t want to give them a backlink from this blog!)

You can order Web hosting even though you don’t live in the United States, unless you live in one of the countries listed below.

Countries whose governments have been declared sponsors of international terrorism by the United States Department of State (more info):

Cuba
Iran
Iraq
Libya
North Korea
Sudan
Syria
We also block the following countries from purchasing our services due to fraud:

Bulgaria
China (including Hong Kong)
Indonesia
Malaysia
Pakistan
Philippines
Singapore
Vietnam

It’s pretty lame to see such a big company have such pathetic policies.

Anyways, what has me all happy is the fact that it’s raining like crazy here in Karachi. It’s winter and it hardly ever rains this hard in winter now. No thanks to the rapid growth of population and industrial pollution in Karachi. Ah well, it’s raining here finally. Apparently, everybody feels pretty cold but I don’t :s Though I am suffering with cold, I don’t feel cold. Hehehe pretty ironic and not so enjoyable.

“HELLO WORLD” — Here I am!

December 1, 2006

It has taken me years to do it but it’s finally here. My own blog on the internet. I never actually really wanted a blog of my own but lately, I started to feel that I should have one. I still don’t know why I felt it but errr who cares? The reason I have chosen WordPress is because I couldn’t get the username that I wanted. Good old wordpress has it so yaay! Sadly, I won’t be able to put any AdSense over here. Not that I think someone will click the ads or actually visit this blog but I’d like to know that the possiblity is there :)

I have go no idea who will read this blog and/or why. I have no idea what am I gona add to this space but errr, maybe if I give it more time, things will start making more sense and I’ll finally see why I wanted to have my own blog.

It’s 1:47am here and I am feeling kinda hungry. I just came back from the studio. We are recording another song that I composed and wrote. It’s one of my favs out of all the songs that I have written. So… I think I should quit typing here and get something to eat and then get back to work or something? Yeah I think I am going to do that. Lets see how my first blog post looks!
